THE MUSEUM STRUCTURE, WHICH WOULD CONTAIN DENİZLİ'S RICH ANTIQUE CITY CULTURE AND VALUES, WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DESIGNED METICULOUSLY, BY CREATING A UNIQUE ARCHITECTURAL IDENTITY AT THE SAME TIME.
THE FORM OF THE STRUCTURE WAS SHAPED WITH A THEME, WHICH IS INSPIRED BY PAMUKKALE, ONE OF THE MOST SIGNIFICANT IDENTITY ASPECTS OF DENİZLİ. THIS STRATIFICATION, WHICH PAYS TRIBUTE TO TRAVERTINES, COMPLIES WITH THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE LAND, AND ALSO ENSURES THAT REQUIRED IDENTITY IS GIVEN TO THE STRUCTURE. FLUID-STRUCTURE ALSO HELPS MUSEUM'S VENUE SET-UP TO ACHIEVE THE REQUIRED DESIGN ELEMENTS. THE MATERIALS USED REINFORCES THIS PERCEPTION. THIS CONCEPT IS CARRIED TO INDOOR AREAS WITH LUMINOUS EFFECTS ON THE ROOF AND RAMPS.
THE MASS DIVIDES THE STRUCTURAL ISLAND INTO TWO AREAS, DEFINED AS LOWER AND UPPER SECTIONS. THE SQUARE BUILT OPPOSITE TO GRAND MOSQUE, IS SIGNIFICANT FOR BOTH THE MUSEUM AND THE CİTY. COFFEE SHOPS, EXHIBITION HALLS AND STORES, WHICH ARE LOCATED IN AN AREA THAT SUPPORT THE TRANSITION POINT, MAKES A SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTION TO THE STRUCTURE AS A WHOLE.
